The first time I got to drive the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V it was at Willow Springs raceway, and the car was shall we say, fatigued, from a day of ham-fisted automotive critics flogging it around the track. All I got was one warm up lap before the vehicle decided to go into some kind of limp mode that wouldn’t allow me to put the it in sport, or track mode.

To say I was disappointed would be an understatement, but seeing as I’d driven an F-Type R, AMG GT-S, and Genesis R-Spec earlier in the day, I didn’t take it too hard. Besides, I figured I’d get a chance to get behind the wheel again, if not on a track, then out in the real world, you know, where the car will spend most of its time.

Well, that time has come. I’ve got a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V for a week, and so far so good. I’ve had time to go for one spirited drive, done one airport run, and spent the remainder of the past 24 hours finding out just how comfortable the most potent Cadillac can be in traffic.

I’ve got some fun stuff planned for the rest of my time with this pearlescent beauty, but what kind of Opponaut would I be if I didn’t ask you all what you want to know about it? A bad one, that’s what kind.

To get ahead of you on a fan favorite question, I won’t be finding out how many dead hookers will fit in the trunk, but I would assume it’ll fit more than a couple wise guys. It is after all still a Cadillac, just a really fast one.

May I borrow/have it? That’s a semi-serious question.... as an E60 M5 driver, this is the current car I’m most interested in. You probably can’t answer this, but what I really want to know is how does it compare to the current M5?
